My paintings are inspired by my daily interactions with nature, from the intricate moss and lichen on rocks to the vastness of lakes and skies which provide the inspiration for the shapes and colours that appear in my work.

Paintings that capture places in time, evoking senses, feelings, memories…

Near and Far

Feeling suspended between two places, this painting series is minimalistic in style as I quietly reflect on my new landscape, integrating into the culture of my home country after living abroad for many years.

MY PROCESS

I often begin painting by quickly applying thin washes of colour and drawing back into the work with charcoal and other media. I prefer to use a palette knife to apply paint, working intuitively, building and removing layers to reveal other colours beneath.
