Art has always been my passion, discovered as a child in art classes. Painting provides an outlet for
expression through a stormy sky or a peaceful seascape, a way to release energy, escape and
unwind. Born in Australia, I have lived in the United Kingdom and the U.S.A. and currently reside in
Canada. My career has taken me down many avenues but always led me back to art.
My paintings draw upon my memories and inspiration - seascapes, wheat fields and rural landscapes
from the places I have lived and visited that hold treasured memories of happy times.
Drawn to changing skies and landscapes that present opportunities to use texture and movement, I
paint with feeling and emotion to create atmosphere or capture a memory through my art. Painting
predominantly in oils, I constantly introduce other media such as wax and ink to explore new
techniques and finishes.
